Recipe Ingredients
- Methi Dane/Fenugreek Seeeds
- Oil
- Hind/Asafoetida
- Jeera/Cumin Seeds
- Sabut dhaniya/Coriander seeds
- Saunf/Fennel seeds
- Red chilli powder
- Kashmiri mirch
- Dhaniya/Coriander powder
- Haldi/Turmeric
- Roasted jeera/Cumin powderr
- Sonth/Dry ginger powder
- Amchur/Dry mango powder
- White and black salt as per taste
- Imli/Tamarind Water or 1 Tbsp pulp
- water
Step By Step Photos
1. 2 Tbsp methi/fenugreek seeds, soaked with water for 4-5 hours.
2. first 2 tbsp cooking oil, 1 tbsp jeera/cumin seeds, 1 tbsp saunf/fennel seeds, 1/2 tbsp sabut dhania/coriander, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp kasmiri mirch(optional), 1 tsp dhania/ coriander powder, 1/2 tsp haldi/ tumeric powder, 1/2 tsp bhuna jeera/roated cumin powder.
3. 1 Tbsp sonth/dry ginger powder.
4. add 2 cups of water, 2 tbsp amchur/dry mango powder.
5. add Black and white salt, 4 tbsp tamarind water or 1 tbsp pulp, Cook for 15-20 minutes on low flame.
6. Right way to eat this, serve just 1 tablespoon of chutney with 1 cup potato curry..
