- Chana Dal (Chickpea Lentil)
- Adrak (Ginger)
- Lehsun (Garlic)
- Hari Mirch (Green Chilli)
- Pyaaj (Onion)

- Ilaychi (Black Cardamom)
- Daalchini(Cinnamon stick)
- Jeera (Cumin seeds)
- Dhania Powder
- Garam Masala Powder
- Haldi Powder
- Red Chilli Powder
- Ghee/Oil
- Clove (Laung)
- Hing (Asafoetida)
- Lauki (Bottle Gourd) or Hara Kaddu (Green Pumpkin)
- Namak (Salt)

- Methi dane
- Kashimiri Red Chilli Powder
1. For 4 person 1/2 cup of chana dal (chickpea lentil) Soak for 15 minutes. Make a mixture of 1 inch of ginger, 5-6 garlic pieces, 1-2 green Chilli, Sliced Onions, 10-15 Kali Mirch, 1 badi ilaychi (black cardamom), 1 small daalchini(Cinnamon stick), 1 tablespoon jeera (cumin seeds), 1 tablespoon dhania powder, 1 tablespoon garam masala.
2. In pressure cooker take 1-2 tablespoon Ghee/oil put 1 tablespoon jeera (cumin seeds), 2 laung pieces, 1/2 table spoon hing, one slice onion, blended mixture, chana dal (chickpea lentil), 1 cup lauki (bottle gourd) or hara kaddu (green pumpkin), 1 tablespoon salt and some water and than pressure cook on medium low flame upto 5-6 whistle.
3. Now for tadka take 1 tablespoon ghee(clarified butter) , chopped 1 inch ginger 5-6 garlic pieces, one chopped onion, 1 tablespoon jeera (cumin seeds), 1/4 methi dane (fenugreek seeds), 2 sukhi laal mirch (red chilli) and 1/2 tablespoon kashimiri red chilli powder. Mix this tadka in gravy recipe is ready.
