Hello friends, I am Amita Singh, a food enthusiast and in this video i have shown how to make sambar at home and my this south Indian recipe is very quick easy and healthy lentil stew type of dish. You can enjoy this sambhar with idli dosa vada upma uttapam idiyappam. This is perfect for breakfast or meal. Enjoy this south indian sambhar recipe.
Recipe Ingredients
- kaddu/pumpkin
- drumstick/Moringa/Sahjan
- mooli/radish
- green beans
- onion/pyaz
- tomatoes/tamatar
- garlic/Lahsun paste
- mustard seeds/sarso
- cumin/jeera
- fenugreek/methi dane
- cooking oil
- hing/asafoeatida
- sprig curry leaves
- red chilli/sukhi lal mirch
- haldi/turmeric powder
- red chilli powder (optional)
- sambar masala
- water/pani
- imli ka pani/tamarind water
- cooked tuar dal/yellow pigeon lentils
- Namak/Salt as per taste
Step By Step Photos
1. 2oo gram pumpkin, 6 beans, 1 onion florets,2 tomatoes, 1 drumstick, 1 radish, 1 carrot, 1 tbsp garlic, 2-3 dry red chilli.
2. 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds.
3. 1 Tbsp oil.
4. 1/4 tsp hing asafoetida, curry leaves.
5. Curry leaves, 2-3 sabut red chilli, add tomatoes, tumeric powder, 1tsp coriander/ dhania powder, 1/2 chilli powder, 2 tbsp sambar masala.
6. bake chapati/roti.
7. Bake roti well .
7. Tawa Roti is ready.
